Legal Aid Society, The

Provides direct legal assistance to low-income persons with criminal problems, civil problems and juvenile rights issues. Offers a network of neighborhood, court-based offices, specialized projects and city-wide programs; clients include senior citizens, disabled adults and children, survivors of domestic violence, immigrants, low-wage workers, persons living with AIDS/HIV and homeless and imminently homeless children and adults.
